Lemonade Days

Each year since 1998 when the destructive tornado ripped through the heart of our community, the third weekend of April has marked a time for celebrating Lemonade Days. This festival, sponsored by the Dunwoody Preservation Trust and DeKalb County Parks and Recreation, takes place at Brook Run Park. Each year over 20,000 children of all ages flood to the park to enjoy petting zoo, horseback riding, carnival rides, tasty concessions and arts and crafts.

July 4th Parade

The Dunwoody Fourth of July parade has grown to become the largest parade of its kind in Georgia. Sponsored by Dunwoody Homeowners Association and Crier Newspapers, Dunwoody Preservation Trust volunteers to make this a memorable event each year when tens of thousands from our community line up along Mt. Vernon Road to view the festive floats and marching groups and celebrate our Country’s founding.

Flick at the Farm

The inaugural Flick at the Farm took place in late September 2007 when over 300 from the community enjoyed our first outdoor movie on the grounds of the historic Farmhouse. Plans are already underway to make this an on-going event to bring our citizens together for an evening of family fun.

Light Up Dunwoody

The Dunwoody Farmhouse is decorated and hundreds attend this annual event at the Farmhouse. Sponsored by Dunwoody Homeowners Association, Crier Newspapers and Dunwoody Preservation Trust, the Sunday afternoon events always include visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, local school bands and choruses, local merchants and appetizers and refreshments. At a precise moment, the lights of the Farmhouse are switched on to reveal a centerpiece of what makes life in Dunwoody so special.
